Navigating tech can feel like an energy drain, so here are some quick tips to make Zoom easier to use.

Join early to check your audio and video.
Use “Speaker View” to see the person talking in a larger window.
Camera on or off — your choice
Presence is participation! You’re welcome to rest, listen, or move as needed.
Adjust captions:
Click the “CC” button for live captions.
Move the captions box to the top or bottom of your screen.
Click on “Transcript” to view the whole live transcript.
Reduce visual strain:
Dim your screen brightness.
Try Gallery View off to see fewer faces.
Look away from the screen periodically.
Need a break? Mute yourself, step away, and rejoin when ready.
Pro Tip:
If tech feels overwhelming, try practicing when it’s not during a live event — click around, test buttons, and get comfortable at your own pace.
