An accessible, adaptable practice done entirely from a chair, with optional supported standing.
Chair Yoga is designed for anyone who wants the stability and predictability of practicing from a seated position. In this class, we remain fully seated for the entire practice, with optional supported standing movements offered for those who want them — but standing is never required.
All movements are slow, steady, and clearly guided with brain-friendly cues. You can use any stable chair (no special equipment needed), and all poses are offered with variations to meet a wide range of energy levels, mobility levels, and sensory needs.
Each class may include gentle strength work, mobility exercises, breath practices, grounding techniques, and optional self-massage — all designed to help you feel more at home in your body without overwhelm or pressure.
This class is great if you:
Prefer (or need) to stay seated for stability or safety
Experience dizziness, imbalance, joint pain, or fatigue
Live with brain injury, chronic illness, or disability
Want a predictable, supportive practice with no floor work
Set up your space however feels best — pillows, blankets, footstools, and fidgets are all welcome.
